During the 2025-2026 school year, Read-It Forward collected books from the community of the Colegio Puertorriqueño de Niñas and others who kindly donated old and new books for the young children from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico.

Process to the Final Donation
Collecting Books
In February, we collected books from the Colegio Puertorriqueño de Niñas community using collection boxes throughout the school. Additional books were collected from the founder's friends and acquaintances.
Organizing Donations
Later, during Spring Break, the founder, with the help of her family, counted, sorted, and divided the books by language, age group, and genre. This multi-day process resulted in nearly 1,100 books counted and organized.
If you go to the second slide, you can see a video of all the books that were sorted.
Taking the Donations to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico
During the summer, the 1,100 books were taken to an open Boys and Girls Club, delivered directly to the administration of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico. The founder and her family transported and delivered the books to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico and their helpful, kind leaders.
Thank you to all who contributed to the process by donating books or helping sort them. The books collected this year far exceeded our expectations, and we are incredibly proud of the community's collective dedication to encouraging literacy in young children in underserved communities.
The Founder, Isabella Roquette
